"Passage de génération avec une nouvelle transcription de la Sonate pour piano de Berg par le jeune Tim Mulleman (né en 1993). Il est fascinant de voir que cette pièce pour piano de Berg se déploie tant au grand orchestre (on pense à la superbe orchestration du Néerlandais Théo Verbey enregistrée par Riccardo Chailly au pupitre du Concertgebouworkest d’Amsterdam) qu’ici dans une version pour 5 instruments. Cette belle réalisation rend parfaitement justice à l’esprit de la partition."

"Het derde werk was veruit het jongste én meest experimentele van de avond, maar inherent misschien wel het sterkste. De in Turnhout geboren Tim Mulleman schreef de compositie ‘Duo’ initieel voor piano en viool, maar herwerkte het voor Koi Collective. De op het concert aanwezige componist vergeleek het met een eeneiige tweeling: beide ‘versies’ zien er misschien hetzelfde uit, maar als je ze leert kennen, zie je hoe ze fundamenteel van karakter verschillen. Flirtend met de grenzen van de tonaliteit verkenden Wils en Vergauwen elk register van hun instrument. Niet in reuzesprongen, maar in soepele, welgemikte draf – wat het voor de luisteraar beheersbaar hield."
